This guide shows you how to create a new virtual machine in your Server Monkey Cloud VPS account. Follow these simple steps to deploy your VM quickly and easily.

Step 1: Access Your Dashboard

Login to your Server Monkey account and navigate to the main dashboard. Check your service status and available resources before creating a new virtual machine.
Login to your Server Monkey client area
Verify your service shows "ACTIVE" status
Review your resource usage in the dashboard charts
Check your billing information and next due date

Step 2: Navigate to Virtual Machines

Go to the Virtual Machines section and click "Add New Virtual Machine" button. This will show your existing VMs and allow you to create new ones.
Click "Virtual Machines" in the left sidebar menu
View your current virtual machines list
Click the green "Add New Virtual Machine" button
The button is located at the top right of the page

Step 3: Configure Your Virtual Machine

Fill out the VM creation form with your desired specifications. Choose your operating system, resources, and network settings.
Available Resources:
Check your remaining Memory, CPU, Disk, and Networks
Make sure you have enough resources for your new VM
VM Configuration:
Enter a unique VM Name (e.g., myserver.com)
Add a description for your VM
Select number of CPU Cores (1, 2, 4, etc.)
Set VM RAM amount (512 MB, 1 GB, 2 GB, etc.)
Choose Disk Size (20 GB, 50 GB, 100 GB, etc.)
Operating System:
Select from available templates: Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu, Windows
Choose the OS that best fits your needs
Optional Settings:
Add Virtual Network if needed
Add Additional Disk for extra storage
Set a strong password for your VM
Final Step:
Review all settings
Click the green "Submit" button to create your VM

Step 4: Manage Your Virtual Machines

Monitor your VMs and use the management options to control them. Edit configurations or delete VMs that are no longer needed.
View all your VMs in the list with their status
Green "Running" means the VM is active
Red "Stopped" means the VM is powered off
Use the Edit button (1) to modify VM settings
Use the Delete button (2) to remove unwanted VMs

Step 5: Configure Virtual Networks (Optional)

Create custom networks for advanced configurations and VM isolation. Manage network settings to control traffic between your virtual machines.
Click "Add New Virtual Network" to create custom networks
View existing networks with their IP ranges and gateways
Edit network settings using the Edit button (1)
Delete unused networks using the Delete button (2)
Use virtual networks to isolate different types of VMs

Important Notes

Before Creating a VM:
Ensure you have sufficient resources available
Choose appropriate specifications for your intended use
Select the correct operating system template
After Creating a VM:
Wait for the VM to fully deploy (usually 2-5 minutes)
Note down your VM's IP address and login credentials
Configure firewall and security settings as needed
Best Practices:
Use descriptive names for your VMs
Start with smaller resource allocations and scale up if needed
Regular backup your important VMs
Monitor resource usage to optimize costs
